Welcome!
I’m Jenn, a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work and over 15 years of experience in mental health and addictions, bringing this depth of clinical practice into my work with individuals and couples. My work is grounded in a relational, trauma-informed approach that emphasizes safety, collaboration, and authentic connection.
My primary clinical focus is couples counselling, where I work with couples who feel stuck in recurring conflict, feel emotionally disconnected, or are unsure how to move forward together.
Drawing from Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) and the Gottman Method, I help couples slow things down, understand the patterns they get caught in, and rebuild trust, emotional safety, and closeness. My approach is warm, steady, and practical, supporting couples to talk about difficult experiences while staying connected to one another.
I identify as a member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and bring this lived perspective into my work. I work affirmingly with 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and couples, offering a space that is inclusive, respectful, and grounded in safety and understanding.
In addition to couples work, I support individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, addiction, co-dependency, life transitions, and relationship concerns. My individual work is informed by Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), helping clients better understand their emotional responses, inner patterns, and protective strategies with curiosity and compassion. I also integrate EMDR, alongside CBT and DBT-informed strategies, when these approaches support a client’s goals.
I also offer walk-and-talk therapy for folks who benefit from movement, grounding, and connection to the outdoors, supporting nervous system regulation and embodied awareness alongside talk therapy.
I believe therapy works best when it feels human, collaborative, and down to earth — a place where people can slow down, feel safe, and work toward meaningful change.
